Meet The Sydney Fashion-Hunter Who Can Fulfil All Your Designer Dreams

Someone wise once said, “Find a job you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” Sound advice, and some that Paris Findley took very much to heart.

Findley is the founder of PH Luxury, a Sydney-based luxury personal shopper service that specialises in sourcing hard-to-find designer items from around the world.

The wife and mother heard the call of all things fashion at a young age, falling in love with a Louis Vuitton bag at the age of eleven. She decided to pursue her love of high fashion with a business focus, graduating from Bond University on the Gold Coast with a bachelor’s degree in Business Communication.

Findley worked in marketing for a while, but her love of buying luxury items for herself saw her develop strong relationships with designer brands. Eventually, a move into luxury shopping seemed like a natural progression. She launched PH Luxury, and it’s now a thriving business with celebrity clients from across the globe, including US reality star Olivia Culpo, for whom Findley sourced an elusive Prada Re-Edition 2005 shoulder bag.

Findley’s promise to clients is that the phrase “sold out” doesn’t exist in her world, and with the help of a global team of sourcing assistants, she guarantees to be able to get her hands on whatever it is that your heart desires. PH Luxury specialises in shoes and handbags from brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Hermès, including inaccessible ones with a limited release, out-of-season pieces, or items with no local stock, and on top of that, the brand promises to find the colour and size you want.

Seeking out the perfect pieces can be time-consuming and frustrating—not least due to the time difference between Australia and international shopping hubs. Plus, in high fashion, as in any other arena of life, it’s not so much what you know as who you know. With her connections to stockists and buyers in the industry, Findley is better placed than most to source exclusive, limited pieces.

PH Luxury sources mainly from the high fashion hot spots of Dubai, Hong Kong and Paris, as well as from within Australia. Despite the international playground, however, the brand nevertheless promises a quick turnaround of items that come in their original dust bags and with receipts. No more stressing about whether your authentic bag is actually the real deal.

Findley is extremely hands-on with every aspect of her business, from fielding enquiries from clients (usually through Instagram or email) to managing the DHL process. She updates the brand’s Instagram frequently with new releases and pieces available to order, as well as snaps of her personal life and couture updates.

The company also has a consignment arm, through which it sells Hermès handbags on consignment, usually for about 70 per cent of market value. It also specifically promises to be able to source any Hermès bag ever created, either new or pre-owned.

So if there’s a piece of designer fashion you’re desperate to get your hands on (a brightly coloured Chanel quilted bag, perhaps, or Louis Vuitton padded mules, or even a sheepskin Prada handbag) save yourself the effort of hunting it down yourself and just call Findley—the shopping fairy godmother you didn’t know you needed until now.
